Valet This position requires a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record and the ability to drive a manual transmission. The ideal candidate would be energetic, personable and courteous. The right person should be able to park and retrieve vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires some running when retrieving cars and someone who is very cautious when driving a guest vehicle. Valet is a first or second shift position.
Overnight Bellman This position requires strong communications skills and exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate would be someone who is professional, friendly and outgoing. Knowledge of the Cincinnati area, as well as up to date with events downtown is necessary. This position requires lifting up to 75 lbs., as well as walking and standing during a shift while assisting with guest arrivals and departures. This position also requires a valid Driver’s License, a clean driving record and the ability to drive a manual transmission. This position would park and retrieve vehicles as well as help guests with their luggage. Overnight bellman is a third shift position.
F&B Manager This position is best suited for a dynamic, highly motivated and experienced individual to manage Food & Beverage operations in its various outlets including The Palace Restaurant, The Cricket Lounge, Room Service and Private Dining. The ideal candidate is someone who knows the value of hard work, realizing that F&B management presents a unique combination of physical and mental labor. We are looking for someone who can coach and motivate a staff of 25+ to meet the highest standards of customer service and is experienced in fine dining preparation and service etiquette. We are looking for a candidate with strong leadership skills, strong food and wine knowledge and an intense desire to provide extraordinary dining experiences and exceptional hospitality. The candidate should be extremely detailed oriented, organized, have the ability to solve problems, experience training front of the house staff. Must be able to manage staff and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. The ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights weekends and holidays is essential. Ideal candidate would have at least 2 years experience in a management position.
Sales Manager Develop accounts (new and existing) through outside sales calls, prospecting and networking to meet and exceed budget. Perform daily telephone solicitations with appropriate traces and an organized, professional plan for correspondence and follow up. Promote awareness to corporate, incentive and association markets via travel to respective regions providing presentations and personal sales calls. Promote local awareness through maintaining relationships with CVB’s, tourism authorities and community networking. Conduct tours of property to meeting planners and other potential clients while informing of all hotel services; entertain customers on property during site inspections. Assist with all guest inquires within the sales and marketing department, including assisting with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections. Negotiate contract specifics to achieve maximum profitability while satisfying customer needs. Conduct all sales related interactions with the highest level of professionalism.
Sous Chef This is a position for an experienced, highly motivated Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in implementing menus, training culinary staff and setting the impeccable standards of all kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have culinary training and at least 2 years experience in a management position. The main function of the job is to supervise and administer the kitchen operation including coordination of menu items and utilizations of products to maximize customer satisfaction and control food costs. Oversee food preparation, inventory and portion control and ordering of all foods necessary for kitchen operation. This position is a very hands on role and would include working the line during every shift. The expectation of this position is to take full ownership of all kitchen operations with the culinary team. Must be able to manage staff and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Candidate must be a strong leader with the ability to motivate, train and coach a staff.
Line Cook This position requires culinary experience and is responsible for the preparation of food items in accordance with production and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. Knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic knife skills and cooking techniques is required. Culinary school is a plus and experience in a fine dining or four star/diamond hotel environment is preferred.
AM Palace Server This position requires strong communication and customer service skills. This position is an AM position that would require shifts between the hours of 6:00am and 2:30pm for breakfast and lunch service. The ideal candidate is someone who is personable and has a positive attitude. Server experience and an understanding of Micros is a plus.
